I completed my high school education in England and graduated with an honours degree in Biological Sciences from the Wolverhampton University. In 1984 I further studied for the Diploma in Medical Laboratory Management and for the Fellowship of the IBMS (UK) and during this time I was attached to Charing Cross Hospital in London for 2 years. I went on to spend 9 months in the Chemical Pathology department at the Royal Free Hospital in London. I completed my PhD in 2003 at the College of Health Sciences at the University of Zimbabwe where I also taught Biochemistry, Clinical Biochemistry and Physiology to various programs in the college including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, medical sciences, medicine and pharmacy. I joined Charles Sturt University in 2005 and I am involved in teaching various subjects to undergraduate courses including veterinary sciences medical sciences, pharmacy, biotechnology, nutrition, agricultural sciences and forensic sciences. I also supervise a number of post graduate students.
