Professional Programs

The School of Community Health offers four professional disciplines.

Biomedical Science

BMS teaches into the four main allied health courses as well as nursing in Albury. Areas covered include anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and neuroscience as well as pathophysiology. Three laboratories service these subjects that feature up-to-date equipment that includes options for online delivery, computing based laboratories as well as wet labs, pharmacology, microbiology, histology and physiological testing.

Six academic staff teach the diverse subjects and five laboratory staff look after the laboratories. The biomedical science staff also conducts research into cell biology, genetics, teaching practice, chronic fatigue, diabetes complications and complementary medicine.
