Physiotherapy is an important part of the total health care scene. As the need for Physiotherapists grows across Australia, rural areas increasingly find themselves lacking a service sufficient for their needs.
The Bachelor of Physiotherapy course is the first physiotherapy degree offered outside a metropolitan area, and is designed to expand the professional opportunities for students from regional and remote backgrounds, as well as offset the shortages of health professionals in non metropolitan areas.
Although there is a strong rural focus throughout the course, graduates will be prepared for practice in metropolitan as well as rural settings.
