Vietnam Gallery
The pictures in this gallery show CSU students on placement at Thi Nghe Orphanage, Vietnam which provides care for over 300 orphan children with disabilities. As a participant on this placement students develop discipline specific as well as transdisciplinary skills. These include skills of working in an interdisciplinary team; assessing and managing children with complex physical and cognitive impairments; providing staff/community education and professional development; advising on, designing and constructing assistive technology; collaborating with people from a different culture; working in an under resourced environment. This placement also enables students to develop generic professional skills, such as independence, communication and creative reasoning/problem-solving.
