Anna qualified as a physiotherapist in 2000 and has worked in a variety of clinical areas in Australia and the United Kingdom (UK). From 2002 to 2004 she worked in primary care / community settings in Yorkshire, UK, providing rehabilitation within multidisciplinary teams to older people in their homes. Her interest in the complexities of delivering social and health care in the community led her to take a research position with the University of Sheffield where she was employed as a research associate until 2008. Anna's employment with the University of Sheffield led her to undertake both national and local level research and as such had been involved in generating close to ??700,000 of research grants for the University.

Anna's research has included examination of extended roles for physiotherapists (UK), workforce models in older peoples' community based services (UK), support worker models in older peoples' community based services (UK), interprofessional management (UK), team working and support structures for rural allied health practitioners (Aus). These projects have enabled her to develop a range of skills in all aspects of research methods, report and journal writing, project management and use of technology.

Through her current position at Charles Sturt University she has been able to further her research interests and expertise through teaching undergraduate research methods to a large interdisciplinary cohort of allied health students and coordinating and teaching interdisciplinary students undertaking Honours level studies. Anna is currently involved in a mixed methods research project investigating and implementing a sustainable supervision, support and mentorship model for allied health practitioners in rural and remote areas. She has a keen interest in sharing the valuable information from her work in the UK with Australian health systems and practitioners.
