Jane Murtagh is a part time lecturer. She joined CSU permanently in 2002 after previous casual involvement with the course. Jane teaches across a number of subjects including clinical reasoning, techniques for practice, technology and specialised studies (paediatrics). Jane's clinical experience has been in paediatrics, community health and rehabilitation. She currently works part time as an occupational therapist on The Kids Team at South West Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service. Her interest areas include paediatrics and brain injury rehabilitation.
Jane completed her Masters in Health Science (Occupational Therapy) with University of Sydney in 2004. In her study Jane investigated the perceptions of rehabilitation professionals about the provision of support for siblings of children with acquired brain injuries. She would like to pursue this issue in further research.
Through her clinical role Jane is involved in a project which will evaluate the effectiveness of family intervention where a child has an acquired brain injury.
