Marion Vile graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) in 1981 from Lincoln Institute, Melbourne. She worked on the Child and Family team at Community Health, in schools, preschools, and developmental disability services. She was also a member of the rehabilitation team at Albury Base Hospital, working with people suffering CVA, traumatic brain injuries, and other neurological conditions. She was Head of the Speech Pathology Department and regional Speech Pathology Advisor until 1988.


From 1992, Marion specialised in the field of adult acquired brain injury in her role as speech pathologist/case manager with the South West Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service based in Albury. She was subject coordinator for WEL221 Acquired Brain Injury at CSU for several years, including a revision of the subject in 2003. Marion also lectures into the adult neurological communication subject SPH308 on acquired brain injury. In 2007 she and an OT colleague completed a clinical research project describing individualised memory rehabilitation including evaluating the outcomes in a transitional living unit setting. 


Marion has been the Clinical Coordinator of the Speech Pathology Programme since July 2008, and has developed a passion for clinical education over that time.  She is keen to continue to support students and their clinical educators in their fieldwork experiences during 2010.
