Jillian Dunphy joined CSU in 2006 to become a full-time lecturer and subject coordinator. Jillian’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Science with Honours in genetics and a PhD in molecular endocrinology, (both awarded by Monash University). Previously Jillian has conducted medical research at the University of Melbourne, the University of Virginia, and the University of Queensland. Her current research interests include the interactions between health, healthcare and the natural and social environments, graduate resilience, and health literacy. Jillian has taught at both the undergraduate and post-graduate level to a very diverse population of students, ranging from vets to occupational therapists.

Research
Interactions between health, healthcare, and natural and social environmental sustainability, and graduate resilience are current research foci, which have yielded a curriculum handbook, 2 conference presentations, and 3 manuscripts under review. New areas of interest include health literacy, and undergraduate healthcare learning and teaching. These research areas are classified as field of research 1117 or 1302.
Previous research has focused on molecular and cell biology projects. This work is detailed in ten papers, 2 patents and 13 conference presentations, that have been cited at least 260 times in prominent journals such as “Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology” (IF = 35.423).
