Profile

Natalie holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in occupational therapy from the University of Western Sydney. Her clinical experience includes neuro-rehabilitation (acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury), orthopaedics, cardiac conditions and paediatrics.  Natalie completed a graduate diploma in sexual health in 2008 and is part way through a PhD at the University of Sydney.  Her research is investigating how people with physical impairment and their partners successfully adapt their sexual lives.  Natalie’s research was part funded by a competitive grant provided by the National Stroke Foundation.  Preliminary findings have been presented at the 2010 European Stroke Conference, 2010 Stroke Society Australasia and the Australian Society for Sex Educator, Researchers and Therapists conference 2012.  Natalie previously worked at Family Planning Victoria as the Disabilities Programs Coordinator and also for the Victorian Peadiatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS) in Bendigo.  She currently resides in Albury-Wodogna and lecturers in occupational therapy for Charles Sturt University.
