Since graduating from Cumberland College of Health Sciencesas a physiotherapist in 1978, Paul has worked in a variety of roles both within the public sector and private practice, both within Australia and overseas (New York). 

Paul moved to Orange in 1991, and has worked in private practice since that time.  He established his own private physiotherapy clinic in 1999.  Paul joined Charles Sturt University in 2012 and currently combines his teaching/research role at CSU with continued practice within his clinic.

Paul’s particular area of interest and expertise lies in management of musculoskeletal problems.  He teaches into both this area, and also biomechanics.

Paul’s area of research interest is in the area of musculoskeletal physiotherapy practice, more specifically Nordic (OMT) manual therapy.

Teaching

Paul has taught extensively on post-graduate manual therapy courses for physiotherapists.

Paul was involved in the development and delivery of the Masters In Health Science (Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy) program that was delivered by CSU.

He is committed to the teaching of clinically effective, logical, and occupationally safe manual therapy techniques.

Future research directions for Paul include the investigation of the safety and efficacy of the Nordic(OMT) manual therapy approach and technique.
