Michelle is a specialist tutor within the Speech Pathology program in the School of Community Health. Prior to commencing this position, Michelle lectured on a casual basis at the university whilst undertaking her PhD. Michelle has worked clinicially in both generalist and adult-specific positions, as well as being involved in management roles and student supervision.

Michelle has a particular interest in rural health and equity issues, particularly in the provision of services to adults. She is currently a co-representative on the Speech Pathology Australia Rural and Remote Group for Victoria. She is also interested in health governance through her involvement on organisational boards.

Michelle completed her PhD through Charles Sturt Univesity, which explored the provision of dysphagia assessment following acute stroke in non-metropolitan NSW and Victoria.
