Tracey Parnell works on a part time basis within the occupational therapy program; her roles include lecturing and assisting with fieldwork coordination . Tracey has had previous casual involvement with the course over a number of years and is now employed on a permanent basis at the university. 

Tracey's clinical experience is predominantly in the field of adult rehabilitation including both hospital and community based settings and more recently in the field of occupational/vocational rehabilitation. Her practice has been in rural and regional areas.

Tracey completed her Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2000 with the University of South Australia.  Tracey was successful in gaining a three year scholarship to undertake her PhD (beginning in 2009); this research project will focus on exploring the experiences of women returning to work following childbearing.

Areas of Research Interest

Women and work, work/life balance, the importance of the worker role, occupational perspectives of health and wellness.
