Equity Scholarships include the Commonwealth Scholarships Programme (CS) established by the Australian Government, and Institution Equity Scholarships (IES) established by individual institutions. Equity Scholarships are comprised of many different scholarships and at CSU we offer the following scholarships:
Professional Placement Equity Grants are a CSU initiative to assist undergraduate students who must complete a compulsory professional placement as part of their course requirement. Grants are can be funded up to a maximum of $1,000 per practicum.
Residential School Equity Grants provide CSU Distance Education students a specified number of free nights accommodation in the Halls of Residence on campus at Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange and Wagga Wagga or $52.00 per night towards your accommodation costs if your Residential School is at Albury or Canberra.
The Charles Sturt Foundation provides nearly 200 CSU Foundation Scholarships to undergraduate students across all CSU campuses.
CSU encourages students to consider studying at Honours level. In order to assist students with their study, the university makes a limited number of merit-based CSU Honours Scholarships available to Honours students. This is applicable to any mode of Honours study. Full time students are students with 75% or greater of a full course load will receive $3000 in 2 instalments ($1500 in Autumn (1st) Session and $1500 in Spring (2nd) Session). Part time students are students with a 50% course load and they will receive $1500 in 2 instalments ($750 in Autumn (1st ) Session and $750 in Spring (2nd) Session). The scholarship is for a 12 month period and all students can reapply for a scholarship in the following year.
Charles Sturt University offers you a helping hand to explore your passion for science via lucrative scholarships for on campus applicants in science-based fields. The 40 CSU Science Scholarships will provide successful students with $4000 per annum for up to four years, subject to satisfactory progress. If successful, you can determine exactly how the money is to be spent. The scholarships are available initially to those students with a University Admissions Index (UAI)(NSW) of 80 (including the Regional Bonus) and above, or equivalent ENTER(VIC). We will also consider non school leavers via an assessment process.

CSU Postgraduate Scholarships are available to students undertaking a research higher degree.

Funding for travel grants and scholarships are offered through the CSU Global Office. All students who are accepted into the CSU Global Exchange Program are eligible for a travel grant of up to $1500.
