Welcome to the Equine Centre
The Charles Sturt University Equine Centre is an outstanding facility for horse-loving students and members of the regional community. Located adjacent to the Veterinary Clinical Centre on Agriculture Avenue, it covers 25 hectares within the CSU farm and is just a short walk from the main campus of CSU at Wagga Wagga. The Centre is one of the excellent resources of the School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences and provides facilities for teaching its courses in Equine Science, Veterinary Science and Animal Science - facilities which are amongst the best in Australasia. CSU students are able to agist their horses at the Centre at affordable rates and make full use of the Centre, creating a vibrant and interesting community of like-minded young equestrians.
The Centre provides the opportunity for students to be involved in all aspects of horse management, husbandry, technology and applied research. Major features include a 3000 square metre indoor arena and a world-class cross-country eventing course that caters for all levels, from preliminary to advanced. In addition, we have two sand arenas, six stable blocks with 84 stables, an amenities block with a classroom and kitchen, showers, toilets and dressing facilities, a 1200m all weather sand track and, for student classes, fully covered yards and handling facilities.
You will find more information about the Centre on these pages but to contact the Equine Centre office, please e-mail or call Jacqui Price on (02) 6933 2323.
