Bookings

The facilities of the Equine Centre can be hired for use by individuals or clubs for approved equine activities.

Please note members of the public may hire the facilities at the Equine Centre under the following conditions:

  • Proof must be shown to the Equine Centre Manager of current financial membership of an equestrian society which provides personal accident insurance in the event of injury incurred while riding at the Equine Centre.
  • The Equine Centre Manager will provide such persons with an induction of the facilities
  • Use of the facilities must be booked through the Equine Centre Office.

Please ensure you read the Conditions of Use relating to hire of the arena, stables, cross-country course and other Equine Centre amenities before a booking request is made.

For stable bookings, please download a booking form and forward your completed booking form to the office via e-mail, fax or post.

Fees (as at 1 January 2012)

Service Details and Terms Cost (incl GST)
Stabling Overnight stabling including one (1) stable and bedding supplied Short Term (ie < 1 week) $20.00 per night
Indoor Arena Whole Day Booking. Minimum hire period 12 hours. Where hire is for multiple days, the client will have exclusive use of the covered arena for the duration of the hire (not exceeding 12 hours on the final day) $200.00


Indoor Arena Shared use (maximum number at discretion of EC manager) $15.00 per rider for each hour or part thereof
Outdoor Arena Whole Day Booking. Minimum hire period 12 hours exclusive use $100.00
Outdoor Arena Shared use (maximum number at discretion of EC manager) $10.00 per rider for each hour or part thereof
Cross Country Course For each competitor $15.00 per day

Conditions of Use of Facilities

  • Equine Science students have access to the Arenas when they are available (not hired) and at the discretion of the Equine Centre Manager, at no charge. Other conditions of use apply.
  • Fees for access to the facilities will be invoiced at the end of each month. Access is allowed from 5 am to 10 pm when the facilities are not booked for other activities. Bookings can be viewed on the internet on the CSU Equine Centre webpage and can be made by email to the Equine Centre Office or by telephone. The booking is not accepted until written confirmation is received.
  • Facilities hired and used must be left in the same condition as that when first hired. For any maintenance or cleaning that is required as a result of the hirer leaving facilities/amenities/site in a condition that is less than consistent with the standard in which they were lent out/hired, the hirer will be incur a fee of $50.00 per hour for cleaning.
  • Breakages or damage to facilities including jump rails and the cross country course must be reported to Equine Centre Management. The cost for repairing or replacing any items or equipment that are misplaced or damaged will be incurred by the user.
