Clinical Placements
The New South Wales Department of Health has introduced a new method of requesting clinical placements - the CPCIS system for all universities and TAFEs in NSW. Through this process CSU needs to book clinical placements for all Bachelor of Nursing students at least six months in advance.
CSU's School of Nursing, Midwifery and Indigenous Health has an excellent rapport with the numerous health areas across NSW and has worked closely with a number of our facilities both rural and metropolitan to ensure the clinical experience for our students is second to none.
Our students gain their necessary clinical skills in hospitals, community health centres and health facilities so they are ready to integrate theoretical skills in a clinical environment to enable them to be well prepared competent registered nurses upon graduation.
CSU has an overall Clinical Coordinator, Ann-Marie Brown and a Clinical Administrator on each of our five campuses so all of our students can have the benefit of their own clinical contact during their course.
