About the Conference
Up to 300 delegates are expected to attend the “INAUGURAL CHARLES STURT UNIVERSITY NURSING & MIDWIFERY CONFERENCE 2009: Priorities in Practice, Education and Research” is to be held to be held at the fabulous Albury Entertainment Centre on the 23rd and 24th of October. This exciting new conference will provide delegates, sponsors and exhibitors with extremely effective marketing and communication channels.
The conference's keynote speakers are Head of Charles Sturt University's (CSU) School of Nursing & Midwifery Professor Elaine Duffy, University of Huddersfield (UK) Professor Sue Frost, University of Hawaii's Professor Cynthia Stuhlmiller and Chief Nurse NSW and Adjunct Professor Debra Thoms.
CSU is Australia's largest inland University, supplying tertiary education to both national and international students. The School of Nursing & Midwifery operations acrosss five of CSU's campuses: Albury, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange and Wagga Wagga .
The theme of the conference is based on education, clinical practice and research and will focus on primary health care, nursing in rural communities and the challenges facing today's rural nurses.
Leading up to the conference, there will be a call for Abstracts which will give health professionals a chance to submit their research and receive recognition at an international level.
