General Introduction
Hello. I have been teaching at CSU for the past 10 years in both casual, part time and fulltime capacities. I have 3 children and have undertaken study through the both the hospital and tertiary systems as well as via distance education. I have worked in both QLD and NSW with the health services and have been employed with Universities in both these states. My specialty areas are Midwifery and Child and Family Health nursing. I have worked in all facets of these areas, both hospital based and community. I have worked in school health and have worked at private schools as a school health nurse. I have also worked on the Tresillian helpline which was a challenge at times. I am passionate about these areas of practice. I am also passionate about teaching rural undergraduate nursing students and helping them assimilate into University and graduate as competent practitioners. Community engagement is a large part of my work and I enjoy this aspect and relish the opportunity to work with the community to improve health services. Dubbo is a small campus that offers a great deal of interaction with students and the community and this is a strength for the Dubbo area.
