General Introduction

Paul is registered nurse currently working as a lecturer at Charles Sturt University Albury Wodonga Campus, a position he has held for 8 years. He is currently studying for his PhD and lives with his wife and four kids, dog and cat in East Albury; he enjoys cooking, bike riding and when the opportunity arises, skiing at falls Creek.

Teaching Interests

Paul has a particular interest in teaching acute medical surgical nursing and has a passion for cardiology. He also teaches Law and Ethics and Research methodologies.

Research Interests

Paul has a particular interest in cardiovascular research and hid PhD study involves cardiovascular risk profiling, with an emphasis on wellness rather than illness and the prevention of cardiovascular disease through the use of primary health care initiatives.

Professional Activities

Paul has provided professional education to Albury Wodonga Private Hospital (AWPH) and Beechworth Health as well as offering first aid updates for local primary schools. Paul works a clinical nurse specialist in charge of High Dependency (AWPH) on a casual basis, a position he had held for 8 years.

Career Highlights

Paul has taught acute care nursing in Singapore, Malaysia and Borneo and feels proud to have had the opportunity of providing this service.

Paul enjoys very much his role as a lecturer at CSU and feels that in by improving the knowledge and skills of his students that this goes some way to improving the health care for the Australian population.
