Bachelor of Nursing (BN) Philosophy

Canadian Students
The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Indigenous Health offers a conversion course to Canadian Registered Nurses.

Bachelor of Nursing Internal Students
- BN Internal students who commenced 2009 & beyond
- BN Internal Progression Model Enrolled Div 2 Nurses (Cert IV TAFE NSW prior to 2008)
- BN Internal students who are Enrolled Div 2 Nurses (Cert IV TAFE NSW 2008 and beyond)
Bachelor of Nursing Distance Education (DE) students
- BN DE sudents who commenced July 2008
- Students who completed their first year on campus and are now DE
- BN by DE Progression Model Enrolled Div 2 Nurses (Cert IV TAFE NSW prior to 2008)
- BN by DE Progression Model Enrolled Div 2 Nurses (Cert IV TAFE NSW 2008 & beyond)
- BN by DE Progression Model Enrolled Div 2 Nurses (TAFE Diploma in Nursing)
Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Clinical Practice (double degree) students

Applying for Nurse Registration when you qualify
From 2010 all nurses now register with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. All enquiries regarding nurse registration should be made to the Board.
Nursing codes and guidelines for Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives
The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia approves codes and guidelines to provide guidance to the professions. These include competency standards, code of ethics, practice guidelines and decision making frameworks.
