Bruce has had extensive experience performing and teaching surgery to veterinary undergraduates in Melbourne , Pennsylvania , Israel , Malaysia and the West Indies and has been involved in ground breaking research in the development of vascular grafts. For the past 14 years, Bruce has been developing educational media for undergraduate and postgraduate training in veterinary surgery and has conducted continuing education seminars in surgery for practitioners in Israel and Germany . He also works as a referral small animal surgeon, including recently, a part-time position as Senior Registrar in small animal surgery at the veterinary clinic and hospital, University of Melbourne . Bruce is a registered specialist in small animal surgery and has been a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons since 1971.
