Organisational Structure of AFBMNetwork
AFBMNetwork structure comprises a Board of Management,
supported by an Executive Officer, and the membership group.
After the 2004 AFBMNetwork Conference the Board
of Management was established as a replacement body to the Founding
Steering Committee. It comprises thirteen (13) members subdivided
in two groups:
- A group of five (5) appointed members representing the tertiary
organisational members of AFBMNetwork. The organisational members
are Charles Sturt University, Curtin University of Technology-Muresk
Institute, Massey University, Marcus Oldham College and The
University of Melbourne-Institute of Land and Food Resources.
- A group of eight (8) elected members in the biennial general
meeting of AFBMNetwork members
The Board of Management appoints an Executive Officer
to uphold the administrative matters of the AFBMNetwork and interact
in a close manner with the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Board of
Management. These three(3) persons constitute the Executive
Group of AFBMNetwork which interacts closely with the remaining
members of the Board for decision-making purposes.
