Graduates from Orange are highly sought after in industry. This is because the courses have a unique combination of business management and production technologies integrated with knowledge and practical experience of horse management. A graduate from Orange should embark on a career with an open and receptive attitude to the opinions of others and an awareness of the benefits of continuous learning in any business arena. Due to the applied nature of the course, students will often make contact with a wide variety of business enterprises during their studies. This results in many students having jobs lined up well before they complete their course. It is expected that on completion of the course, graduates will possess knowledge of the theory and practice of horse husbandry, as well as equine business and management to levels corresponding with industry standards. Graduates find employment in a vast range of areas servicing the equine industry, either directly or indirectly. These include management of horse breeding establishments, training establishments, in finance, horse sports administration, education, service industries such as bloodstock agencies and pharmaceutical companies, as well as most other occupations where horses are involved.
