School of Environmental Sciences
The School of Environmental Sciences conducts specialty teaching and research into the management and sustainability of the environment, covering such disciplines as catchment management, ecotourism, protected area management, river health and water sustainability, ecosystem conservation, the ecology of flora and fauna, cultural resource management and spatial science. The School of Environmental Sciences is one of the top environmental research schools in the country, with a burgeoning postgraduate cohort and huge international reputation. It incorporates members of the Institute of Land, Water and Society and the UNESCO Hydrology for the Environment, Life and Policy program.

The School is based at two locations in New South Wales (see map of CSU campuses), Australia about 500 km south west of Sydney. You'll find us at Charles Sturt University on the Wagga Wagga campus (see map of the Wagga campus) and at Albury–Wodonga (see map of the Thurgoona campus). The Thurgoona campus is Australia's first environmentally friendly university campus. We practice what we preach.
