I have research interests in freshwater and marine fish ecology, fisheries science, and general biology of aquatic organisms. I’m currently undertaking a postdoctoral research fellowship focused on ecological responses to altered river flow regimes in the Murray-Darling Basin and I also maintain active research on life history of open ocean fishes.

My research aims to inform aquatic natural resource management and to advance knowledge of biological and ecological patterns and processes.  I’m interested in how environmental factors affect growth, distribution, and population dynamics of aquatic organisms.  These topics have stimulated a recent interest in other research areas including macro-ecology, historical ecology, and evolution.

Prospective Honours, Masters, or PhD students interested in any of the above topics are welcome to contact me.
