Jason is a physical geographer, with a special interest in aquatic geochemistry. His research has included the role of micro-climates in dryland salinity, acid-sulfate landscapes and the bioaccessibility of metals in waters and sediments. His current research interests include: the in situ monitoring of aquatic systems, the microbiology of extreme environments and the role of clay theory in the formation of complex organic molecules.
