After completing a Bachelor of Applied Science, Emily decided to pursue research in the social dimension of natural resource management and completed Honours in 2005 on "Factors Affecting Landholder Adoption of Native Vegetation Best Management Practices in the Murray Irrigation Region". In 2006 Emily started a PhD investigating rural property turnover and the implications this trend will have for natural resource management. Emily's research interests include rural sustainability and biodiversity conservation.
