Ensuring ecologically sustainable management of catchments in rural Australia is one of our greatest environmental challenges. Major issues include salinity, water quality, soil acidification and loss of remnant native vegetation. The urgent need to address these issues has led to an unprecedented growth in employment in the wide variety of disciplines covered by catchment management. As an environmental scientist with a multi–disciplinary training, you will be ideally placed to make a contribution.
