Postgraduate coursework

Build on your experience

Postgraduate students work towards a more advanced qualification after their first university degree. If you want to boost your expertise in a specialised area, or return to study after some time in the workforce, CSU has flexible, internationally recognised postgraduate qualifications that will enhance your future career opportunities.

Choose your level of study

Graduate Certificate: with one year of part-time study, you'll gain an initial postgraduate qualification. It's a good way to ease back into study.

Graduate Diploma: study for two years part-time for a more advanced postgraduate qualification.

Master degree: a postgraduate degree available in a wide range of specialisations.

Doctoral program (or PhD): taking up to six years to complete part-time, this involves coursework, independent research and a written thesis.

CSU offers a wide range of postgraduate degree programs at all levels.

Choose the way you study

Higher degree by coursework: If you're studying a Master degree, you can combine coursework or independent study (at least one-third of your program) with a dissertation.

Higher degree by research: If you're studying a Master degree or PhD, you can spend two-thirds or more of your time on a thesis based on your own original and significant research.
