How to apply for credit

ApplicationApplying for academic credit is easy! Simply include details of your previous study as part of your university application (either through VTAC/UAC or via a direct application to CSU).

  • Students making a direct application to CSU

    You will need to apply to study at CSU. This is also where you apply for academic credit. On the CSU 'Application for Admission' form as well as the online form, there is a section that refers to credit. Make sure you fill out all the required details, as well as providing required documentation.

  • Students applying through UAC or VTAC

    You will need to provide details of your TAFE qualifications as part of your application. The amount of credit you will be eligible for will be determined just before commencement of the course.

Documentation you'll need

You will need to supply a certified copy of your transcripts, showing the completion of your TAFE study and the grades achieved (if available).

Notification of credit awarded

If your CSU application is accepted and you receive an offer, as part of this offer you will also receive details on the amount of credit you have been awarded.

Please note that your credit offer applies only once you have accepted your CSU offer.
