Terms for guaranteed entry for TAFE students

The following lists conditions relevant to guaranteed entry for TAFE students

To be eligible for guaranteed entry into CSU undergraduate degrees:

  • Students, at the time of their enrolment application to CSU, must be in their final year of a TAFE Diploma or Advanced Diploma, or have completed a TAFE Diploma or Advanced Diploma within the past 10 years.
  • The TAFE Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualification must be awarded by a recognised Australian TAFE Institution.
  • Guaranteed entry is open to Australian domestic students, and also to international students who meet these terms and conditions as well as CSU's International Student Policies and Guidelines including English Language requirements.
  • For students who have completed a TAFE Diploma or Advanced Diploma, certified copies of original transcripts showing completion of the qualification must be provided as part of the enrolment application to CSU.
  • The completed qualification does not have to be relevant to the course the student wishes to study at CSU.
  • For those students completing their TAFE Diploma or Advanced Diploma at the time of application, certified copies of original transcripts showing completion of the qualification must be provided prior to finalising enrolment.
  • Guaranteed entry is only offered into CSU's undergraduate degrees.
  • The guaranteed entry offer starts on Monday 11th October 2010 and will continue to be offered to eligible TAFE students indefinitely or until these terms and conditions are amended.
  • Tertiary Preparation Certificate (TPC) students;
  1. are eligible for guaranteed entry however students must achieve a Tertiary Entrance Score (TES) of 157 or above (this is equivalent to an ATAR of 65) at the time of their enrolment application to CSU
  2. must in their final stages of completion of the TPC, or have completed the TPC within the past 10 years.
  3. must provide certified copies of original transcripts showing completion of the qualification as part of the enrolment application to CSU, or prior to finalising enrolment.
  • This guaranteed entry offering is in respect of recognition of past academic achievement for CSU admission purposes. CSU retains the discretion pursuant to its established policies and procedures not to accept an application.
