This program integrates the Advanced Diploma of Accounting with the Bachelor of Accounting from CSU, and is an ideal program for school leavers and others who have limited previous study in accounting.

Course details

After enrolling and completing the Certificate IV in Accounting, students then enrol in the Advanced Diploma of Accounting and the Bachelor of Accounting. At this point, students are co-enrolled and study at both TAFE and CSU.

Features of the program include the following:

  • The course will be delivered in Port Macquarie
  • After the Certificate IV in Accounting, students are then co-enrolled at CSU and NCTAFE, and gradually take on university study throughout the program.
  • Students receive guaranteed entry into the Bachelor of Accounting, plus 1.5 years credit
  • With credit, students are able to complete the degree in 3 years full-time or 6 years part-time study
  • Students will graduate with an Advanced Diploma in Accounting, and a degree in Accounting 
  • Students will also have the opportunity of applying for a TAFE-specific scholarship, worth $2,500 cash.

Students can complete the diploma and degree in 3 years full-time, or 6 years part-time study.

Course costs

CSU component

The CSU component of Pathway Programs is supported by the Commonwealth government. This means you can defer your university fees by using a HECSHELP loan. This is then repaid through the taxation system once your income reaches a certain threshold. Or, there is a discount for students who pay their fees upfront.TAFE component

TAFE component

How to apply and enrolment criteria

1. Students first need to enrol and complete the Certificate IV in Accounting with North Coast TAFE. Find out about this course at the link below.

2. Students then enrol direct to CSU for the Bachelor of Accounting. Admission requirements to enrol in the CSU component is completion of the Certificate IV in Accounting. Download CSU's Admission Form [PDF] or apply online.
