North Coast Institute of TAFE logoCSU and North Coast TAFE have developed an articulation program from a range of Diplomas with the Bachelor of Creative Industries.

About this program

Delivered via 'supported distance education' in Port Macquarie Campus, this articulation program provides a pathway from a range of diplomas (see below list) with the Bachelor of Creative Industries from CSU. Students first study and complete TAFE qualifications, and then go on to study the CSU component of the program.

Course details

Students complete one of the following diplomas at North Coast TAFE, and then complete CSU subjects in their final year of study. The degree component of this program is delivered via supported distance education in Port Macquarie Campus. This means there will be on campus classes, as well as a distance education study package.

At the end of three years of study, students graduate with a diploma from North Coast TAFE, and a degree in Creative Industries from CSU.

  • Diploma of Fashion Design and Technology
  • Diploma of Graphic Design and Communication
  • Diploma in Interactive Digital Media
  • Diploma of Screen and Media
  • Diploma of Sound Production

Course features

The course will be delivered via a 'supported Distance Education' mode. This means some study and class support will be delivered in Port Macquarie.

  • Students receive guaranteed entry into the Bachelor of Creative Industries, plus two years credit
  • With credit, students are able to complete the degree in one year of full-time study or two years part-time study.  
  • Students will graduate with a TAFE diploma, and a degree in Creative Industries
  • Students will also have the opportunity of applying for a TAFE-specific scholarship, worth $2,500 cash.

Course duration

Once you have completed one of the diplomas listed above, you can then complete the degree component in one year of full-time study, or two years part-time study.

Course costs

CSU component

The CSU component of Pathway Programs is supported by the Commonwealth government. This means you can defer your university fees by using a HECSHELP loan. This is then repaid through the taxation system once your income reaches a certain threshold. Or, there is a discount for students who pay their fees upfront.

TAFE component
