Delivered in Port Macquarie, this program integrates the Diploma of Community Services Work with the Bachelor of Social Work from CSU.

Course details

The course will be delivered in Port Macquarie and includes the following features:

  • On completion of study, students will graduate with a Diploma of Community Services Work, and a degree in Social Work 
  • Students receive 1 year credit towards the degree component (8 X CSU subjects)
  • With credit, students are able to complete both the diploma and degree in 4 years full-time study.
  • Students will also have the opportunity of applying for a TAFE-specific scholarship, worth $2,500 cash.  

Course duration

Students can complete the Diploma of Community Services Work, and the Bachelor of Social Work in just 4 years of full-time study.

Course costs

CSU component

The CSU component of a Pathway Program is supported by the Commonwealth government. This means you can defer your university fees by using a HECSHELP loan. This is then repaid through the taxation system once your income reaches a certain threshold. Or, there is a discount for students who pay their fees upfront.

TAFE component

How to apply and enrolment criteria

Students need to apply direct to TAFE for the TAFE component. For the CSU component, students need to applying through UAC. Enrolment intake is open for session 1 only.

TAFE component

1. Students need to enrol direct to North Coast TAFE for the TAFE component. Find out about this course at the link below.

CSU component

2. Students need to applying through UAC. Admission requirements include an ATAR of 63, however all applications with an ATAR score below this will be treated on a case by case basis. Non-ATAR or low ATAR students should apply for the Social Work Articulated Program.
