Charles Sturt University (CSU) is calling on Year 10, 11 and 12 students to produce a piece of creative writing and have the chance to win one of four $250 cash prizes.

HOW TO ENTER

Write a fictional, creative and engaging story, poem or script of no more than 1,000 words exploring one or more of the following themes:

• family values
• cultural experiences
• social challenges

  1. Text entries may be submitted by email in Word format to csuhum@csu.edu.au (please ensure that your subject line states 'Creative Writing Competition 2013').
  2. All entries need to be accompanied by a cover page (Download the Cover Page Template) giving the entrant’s full name, age, school and year level, as well as contact details.
  3. The entry deadline is 5pm Friday 20 September 2013. The winners will be announced on Tuesday 5 November 2013.

PRIZES

Four major winners will each receive a $250 cash prize.

Your work may be published in fourW, an annual anthology of creative writing and artwork produced by the Booranga Writers’ Centre, in 2013. Your story will also be published on the Charles Sturt University website.

Entries may be published and modified to meet editorial guidelines and other program requirements. The intellectual property and editorial rights will be held by Charles Sturt University with suitable acknowledgement to the author(s).

Charles Sturt University academics will judge your entry. We are looking for four winners with up to 20 stories to be published.
