The course is designed to meet the national education and training needs of those who work in the irrigation industry. It provides a means for irrigation professionals to upgrade their skills and knowledge whilst attaining a recognised tertiary qualification. Theory is linked and integrated with practice. Students undertake field based projects that illustrate the application of theoretical concepts.
Modular pathways are available within the course to cater for the differing needs of the two main groups of irrigators, irrigation schedulers and industry service providers.

Admission criteria
Applicants will be expected to hold an appropriate undergraduate qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
Applicants without an appropriate undergraduate qualification but with relevant professional attainments may be admitted at the discretion of the Faculty.
Applicants who hold a Certificate in Agriculture from the Murrumbidgee College of Agriculture and who have three years of relevant experience will be eligible for admission.

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 32 points
