The Internet is one of the most important, talked-about, and controversial issues confronting the marketing community today. Initially seen as a new and more convenient way to communicate and exchange information, the Internet and in particular the World Wide Web (Web) is growing exponentially. The Internet involves new ways of doing business, new methods of communication and new approaches to marketing. This subject will assist students to assess and develop a firm’s Electronic Marketing Capability and delivered in an on-line format, it will blend both technology and marketing issues to provide a foundation for an assessment of a firm’’ Internet strategy and a practical implementation plan. Assumed knowledge for this subject is equivalent to that covered inMKT501.
