Admission criteria
Entry is available to those applicants without a tertiary degree who have substantial industry experience and whose employing body attests to their likely academic and vocational success; or people who, in the opinion of the Course Coordinator, would be suitable for the program.
Applicants with degrees in relevant fields such as sociology, planning, social work, social welfare or health studies should apply for entry to the Master of Social Policy and Planning.
Credit
Credit of up to four subjects (32 points) may be awarded to a student who has completed equivalent study at Masters, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma level at a recognised tertiary institution. All credit applications will be considered by the Course Coordinator.
Progression to the Master of Social Policy and Planning
Students who complete the Graduate Diploma may proceed to the Master of Social Policy and Planning with credit for four subjects.
Graduation requirements
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points (eight session-length subjects).
