This course is designed to provide graduates who already occupy senior level positions, mainly in the private sector, with access to the latest cutting-edge thinking in both the relational and commercial aspects of business leadership at individual, organisational unit and cross-organisational levels. The course is offered by CSU in collaboration with the International Marketing Institute of Australia (IMI(A).

Students may elect to exit from the Master degree after completion of four specified subjects and graduate with the Graduate Certificate in Business Leadership, or of eight specified subjects and graduate with the Graduate Diploma in Business Leadership

Graduate Certificate: Part-time 1 year (2 trimesters)

Admission criteria

For entry to the Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Master degree, applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian tertiary institution or a qualification deemed to be equivalent. Applicants with other academic and/or professional qualifications and/or work experience acceptable to the University will be considered.

Note: participants should have access to a personal computer and specified related equipment to supplement computer facilities provided by IMI(A) and CSU.

Articulation

The Graduate Diploma is an exit point only course within the Master Degree.

Graduation requirements

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 32 points for the Graduate Certificate, 64 points for the Graduate Diploma or 96 points for the Master degree.

Graduate Certificate

This comprises four core subjects:

IMI515 Building Relational and Trust Capital

IMI516 Quality Leadership Breakthrough

Master degree

This comprises 12 core subjects, those in the Graduate Certificate and the following eight subjects:

MGT593 Leadership Concepts and Applications

MGT594 Leadership and Business Ethics

IMI517 Leadership Coaching – Concepts and Practice

IMI518 Operational Leadership Breakthrough

Upon completion of the four Graduate Certificate subjects and the above four subjects, students may elect to exit with the award of Graduate Diploma in Business Leadership.

Enrolment pattern

Students enrol in one or two subjects per trimester. Subjects are offered online through the IMI.
