DBA713 and the next subject, DBA714, expose candidates to intensive study in the discipline group that forms part of the approved field of research. Candidates undertake a program of directed, in depth, reading to an advanced level in the field of research in which they wish to specialise for the dissertation. The subject requires candidates to become exceptionally familiar with the literature in the field of research, and to thoroughly understand the major processes, techniques, issues, problems and knowledge within the field of research that will enable the candidates to successfully pursue of a dissertation. Assumed knowledge for this subject is equivalent to that covered in DBA712.
