These courses are designed to meet the growing needs of personnel working, or intending to work, with refugees and asylum seekers in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

Master degree: Part-time 2 years (4 sessions)

Graduate Certificate: Part-time 1 year (2 sessions)

Admission criteria

Master degree: Applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised university, with a credit average or above, or have completed the requirements of the Graduate Certificate in Forced Migration, Asylum and Refugees with a credit average or above.

Graduate Certificate: Applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree from a recognised university, or significant industry experience (to be assessed by the Course Coordinator).

Articulation

The Graduate Certificate articulates with the Master degree and credit is awarded in the Master degree for the subjects completed in the Graduate Certificate.

Graduation requirements

To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 64 points (seven subjects) for the Master degree and 32 points (three subjects) for the Graduate Certificate.
