Admission criteria

Master degree: Applicants will have successfully completed the Graduate Diploma of Correctional Administration.

Graduate Diploma: Applicants will have successfully completed the Graduate Certificate in Correctional Administration.

Graduate Certificate: This program is specifically intended for correctional officers working in the area of correctional administration. Entry is available to those applicants without a tertiary degree who have substantial correctional experience and whose employing body attests to their likely academic and vocational success; or people who, in the opinion of the Course Coordinator, would be suitable for the program.

Articulation

The Master, Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate make up an articulated set of courses. Credit is given in each higher level course for the subjects completed in the lower level course.

Graduation requirements

To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 96 points (twelve 8 point subjects) for the Master degree, 64 points (eight 8 point subjects) for the Graduate Diploma and 32 points (four 8 point subjects) for the Graduate Certificate.

Enrolment pattern

Students may be admitted to the course in either Autumn or Spring Sessions. Regardless of commencement time, the following enrolment pattern will apply:
