Admission criteria
The minimum requirement for entry is:
• a three-year undergraduate degree in social welfare; or
• a three-year undergraduate degree that includes a major study in the social sciences; or
• completion of the Graduate Diploma of Human Services (Social Policy and Planning).
Credit
Credit of up to four
subjects (32 points) may be awarded to a student who has completed equivalent
study at Master or Graduate Diploma level at a recognised tertiary institution.
Students who have completed the Graduate Diploma of Human Services (Social
Policy and Planning) will, upon admission, be awarded credit for four subjects.
All credit applications will be considered by the Course Coordinator.
Graduation requirements
To graduate, students
must satisfactorily complete 64 points, consisting either of eight
session-length subjects (coursework only) or of six session-length subjects and
a dissertation/project (coursework and dissertation/project).
