The course is intended for practitioners working in a range of justice fields. The course has a social science orientation, and involves the disciplines of criminology, justice studies and refugee studies.

Admission criteria

Applicants are required to have:

  a relevant undergraduate degree (e.g. in justice studies, criminology, law, legal studies) from a recognised university, with a credit average or above in subjects in criminology and closely related fields;

    or

  a criminology honours degree

    or

  the Graduate Certificate in Criminology, with a credit average or above.

 

Other suitable applicants may be admitted after consultation with the Course Coordinator.

 

Graduation requirements

To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 64 points

The course comprises two core subjects, one restricted elective and a stream of four subjects in a specific study area.
