These courses are
intended to provide those involved in the regulation industry, whether they be
in the public sector drawn from government or semi government bodies and
representing the regulators or from the private sector representing those in
industry, commerce or trade being regulated, with the opportunity to undertake
studies at postgraduate level in the area of compliance. They are designed to
meet the criteria imposed by the Australian Standard Compliance programs (AS
3806 – 1998).

Admission criteria
It is expected that
applicants will have a vocational background, (e.g. public service compliance
officers or persons responsible for compliance in the private sector) or
qualification in the field of compliance, investigation, law, management,
accounting or auditing.
Articulation
The Graduate
Certificate in Compliance articulates with the Graduate Diploma of Compliance
and credit is awarded in the Graduate Diploma for all subjects completed in the
Graduate Certificate.
Graduation requirements
To graduate, students must
satisfactorily complete 64 points (eight subjects) for the Graduate Diploma and
32 points (four subjects) for the Graduate Certificate.
Admission to Master of Arts
Students who have
satisfactorily completed the Graduate Diploma requirements with a credit
average are eligible to apply for admission to the Master of Arts, which offers
specialisations in areas of policing. Upon admission to the Master degree
course, students are awarded credit for the Graduate Diploma and upon
completion of the dissertation requirements for the Master degree course (a
further 32 points), students graduate with the award Master of Arts
(Compliance).

Students may commence
their course of study in either Autumn or Spring sessions. Regardless of
commencement time, the following enrolment patterns will apply:
