The changes that have
occurred within the Catholic education system over the last 20 years have
resulted in lay primary and secondary teachers taking increasing responsibility
for the religious education of their students. Along with this change there has
also been the movement for teachers to have formal qualifications in religious education.
These programs in religious education are a response to this by Charles Sturt
University and Vianney College. The courses have two components: education
curriculum and methods in religious education, and religious studies. The aim
of the courses is to enhance the professional capacities and knowledge of
teachers in the Catholic school system.
Students will have
access to the libraries of Charles Sturt University and Vianney College.
