The Roman Catholic
Church, Anglican Church and Uniting Church are reviving the permanent order of
deacon to meet the changing needs of ministry. This course meets the guidelines
established for this order of ministry.

Admission criteria
Applicants should hold:
• an Australian or recognised equivalent undergraduate degree or equivalent in theology or divinity; or
• a bachelor degree in a discipline other than theology/divinity and be able to demonstrate substantial relevant experience or prior learning.
In recognition of prior
learning, applications may also be considered from those without formal
qualifications who satisfactorily complete specified entry subjects.
Graduation requirements
To graduate, students
must satisfactorily complete 32 points (four subjects).
