This subject examines the contextual factors that influence relationships. It will identify and critique the dominant ideologies that define couple and family relationships. Aspects such as gender, sexual preference, culture, family life cycle and the family of origin will be examined. Students will be encouraged to explore their own personal relationships in relation to the material presented.
