Work Practice with Diverse Populations (8)
Enrolment restriction: MSocWk students only
This subject is directed to social work practice with diverse populations,
including ethnic (NESB or non-English speaking backgrounds), racial (including
indigenous peoples) and disadvantaged groups. It considers how social work
practitioners can deal with ethnic, race and class issues in a variety of
settings with the context of citizenship. It explores social work practice
within the frameworks of access and equity, EEO, industrial democracy,
anti-racist and other pertinent policies.
