CHN202   Business Chinese 2   (8)

ER: Only available in China.

This subject is part of an integrated set of four subjects which are normally taken in the same semester of study at a partner institution in China. The exact sequencing of the subject material for each of the four subjects will be determined by the relevant Chinese institution. Following on from Business Chinese 1, the program is designed to extend basic communications skills through a variety of topics selected for their broad coverage of everyday contact situations. Students will develop an awareness of socio-cultural aspects which are built into the language. Elements of Chinese society are studied in the context of the topics and students, in addition to learning additional elements of the Chinese language, will be required to demonstrate an appreciation and understanding of elements of Chinese culture in terms of the practice of marketing by Chinese businesses. Students taking this subject will normally have completed the foundation subjects of the Bachelor of Business.
